Installation Instructions for
Sauermann Mini-split Condensate Pump

1. Mount sending unit in the back of the indoor unit using the adhesive mounting bracket (included). (see fig. 2)
2. Connect the rubber connection hose (included) between the indoor unit condensate line and the sending unit as shown. (see fig. 1)
3. Locate the condensate pump either within the air handling unit (if space provides), in an adjacent gutter or in the false ceiling above the air handler (can be mounted as much as 8' above the sending unit) with the discharge arrow pointing correctly.
4. Connect the 1/4" suction line tubing (field provided) between the pump sending unit and the condensate pump.
5. Connect the low voltage power cord from the sending unit to the condensate pump.
6. Connect the pump discharge line.
7. Run electrical connections
    110V - N=White
               L = Brown
               G = Green
Alarm Contact -NC, max. rating of 8A/250V
               C = Yellow
               NC = Blue
     230V - N = Blue
               L = Brown
               G = Green
Alarm Contact -NC, max. rating of 8A/250V
               C = Yellow
               NC = White
8. The alarm contact may be used to switch off the refrigeration system where there is a risk of condensate

overflow (recommended).
9. Run test the pump using the following procedure:
    A. Verify that the direction of the
arrow moulded into the body of the pump and the direction of condensate flow
         are the same.
    B. Pour a small quantity of water into the condensate tray. Check that the pump starts and stops.
    C. To check the alarm circuit, repeat the above test but continue to pour water until the alarm is initiated cutting
         of the compressor or generating an audible or visual alarm.
